Conferences

Please inform the Section  about your conferences; provide us with the date(s), the location, the organizing Benelux Chapter (if applicable), the name of the conference, a link to the conference website, and a short description.

When organising a conference or workshop you can get help from IEEE on different levels. These different levels require a specific procedure, but they also determine to what extend you can make use of e.g. IEEE logo, name and IEEEXplore. Find the guidelines for organizing an IEEE conference on our special dedicated webpage: Conference - Organiser Guidelines

Find a technical conference in the IEEE conference database. Past conferences can be found on the Past Events page.

7-9 July, 2010 - Enschede (Nl) (PCS)
IPCC 2010, annual conference on Communication in a Self-Service Society.

logo

The move to self-service has important consequences for everyone who uses information technology to communicate. For example, Web 2.0 features enable the public to contribute to or amend (technical) documentation. User forums, weblogs (blogs), and wikis have become important sources of information about almost every conceivable topic. The roles of information creator and information user are becoming interchangeable. Administrative organizations such as banks, insurance companies, and government agencies increasingly use the Internet as the channel for transactions with their public. Health organizations are using the Internet for communication purposes, from health advice and consultation to remote monitoring of patients.

This raises important questions. What are the social and economic implications of the self-service world? What are the consequences of the "digital divide" if everyone is expected to "help themselves?" How can we support the development of self-service environments that make sense and empower the public to put them to good use?

We invite you to explore these questions and other issues at IPCC 2010. Full conference program and registration information is available at the IPCC 2010 website.

ACE 2010, International conference on Automated Software Engineering.

The 25th IEEE/ACM International Conference on Automated Software Engineering will be held in Antwerp, Belgium, 20-24 September 2010.

The ASE conference has become one of the world's premier Software Engineering venues. Software engineering is concerned with the analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of large software systems. Automated software engineering focuses on how to automate or partially automate these tasks to achieve significant improvements in quality and productivity. ASE 2010 encourages the submission of technical research papers, experience reports, demonstrations, and short papers about emerging topics. In addition it features a doctoral symposium, several associated workshops, and a number of in-depth tutorials. The proceedings will be published in the ACM International Proceedings Series. Authors of selected papers will be invited for a special issue of the Journal of Automated Software Engineering, published by Springer.

November 18-19, 2010 - Veldhoven, the Netherlands (CEDA-ES)
